Tara Melhus Owner, Staged by Tara
Tara Melhus, the founder of Staged by Tara, a home staging consultation and training service, teaches homeowners how to stage their homes themselves, getting that “sold” sign up faster. With no inventory to sell or rent, Staged by Tara educates homeowners how to work with what they already have in their homes, and provides recommendations on which items to purchase to best showcase their homes (including where to buy).
For over five (5) years, Tara has been providing home staging consultations to homeowners, realtors, and brokerages in Calgary and surrounding areas. She is an avid supporter of shopping small, shopping local, and shopping smart; and always goes the extra mile to repurpose, re-use, and find the best deal.
Tara places a priority on using what you already have, and providing positive feedback and suggestions to make the most of your space in a budget-friendly way. She is a Cultural and Consumer Market Maven, with an MA in Professional and Corporate Communications, and a BA in Anthropology. Her studies of cultures, styles, branding, marketing, and global markets are evident as she redefines the purpose of each room.
Tara spends most of her free time with her family, including many weekends in Canmore with her two young boys, husband, sister, and mom; where they hike, bike, ski, golf, and take in Alberta’s natural beauty.
